About the project

The “Renew” project is the result of a long-term performance started in 2015. It revolves around self-identity and the influence of pop culture on its construction.

The project began with the performer taking on, in real life, the appearance of eight movie characters (4 men and 4 women).
This inner reflection led to gender interrogation, construction of self-identity, and a journey through the process of recovering.

The exhibition included screen captures from movies, original photography, selected sentences and crafted material.
